Dressing is hard, isn’t it? After my first few kids (we call those years The Dark Ages), I dressed mostly in mumus. Fasionable mumus, not your grandma’s. But they were square, and forgiving and it’s all I could feel comfortable in. These last few years though, I’ve just learned to embrace my size. To find clothes that I like and my husband likes. (Yes, I care what he likes!) Clothes that I feel confident in. They don’t need to be to everyone’s taste, that I have learned. You’ll never please everyone with what you wear.
So, for my mama’s out there with big breasts, and you’re unsure what to wear… Here’s what I say: Where what you like. Where what makes you feel beautiful and confident. Because if you have big boobs, we all know one thing to be true: You aren’t hiding them. So if the women with smaller breasts can wear that shirt, and that dress, well then mama, so can you! When I was younger, and honestly, this is probably where all my body issues started, I was made to believe that me having a large bust was borderline sin. It didn’t matter that I had absolutely zero control over how big they got, my job was to do my best to hide them. High cut necklines on baggy shirts were probably the best option. It was absolute insanity. Girls with no figure could where whatever they wanted, but girls with curves should dress like nuns. I’d like to pretend this line of thought has gone away, but it hasn’t. Like I said before, you can’t make everyone happy. Someone will always think you should dress differently. But ladies, find your style and own it. The end.
I’ll be linking a page with items I’ve found work well for sizing with our large brassicas. You know, and so do I, that “XL” doesn’t always mean in the bust area. Can I get an amen? Don’t we all have a drawer full of “If the bust area was larger, this would look great,” items that we ordered??? Let me help you out with some websites, brands and items I’ve discovered work very well!
